UCL’s Italian Department: Italian Teachers’ Workshop on Friday 9 March
UCL’s Italian Department: Italian Teachers’ Workshop on Friday 9 March.
This event is the second meeting of 2017-18 series of training workshops for teachers of Italian at UCL.
Sibylle Nalezinski (UCL): Digitally enhanced Easy Readers as course revision.
Easy Readers are an excellent source of consolidating new knowledge. They can become a basis for tailored revision over the summer and between courses. This workshop will suggest an approach to supplement Easy Readers with digital material that allows students to work from a computer or mobile phone.
Sibylle Nalezinski is a Learning Technologist at the UCL Centre for Languages and International Education (CLIE). She has been supporting Language teachers for 17 years, initially at the Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) in Munich, Germany before moving to the UK in 2006. In 2014 she became a Certified Member of the Association for Learning Technology (ALT). ALT is a professional body that strives to improve practice in teaching with technology, among other aims. Very much a practitioner, Sibylle often ‘tests’ a tool or method in her own language learning for an initial first hand impression of its efficacy.
Friday 9 March 2018, 3-5pm, UCL Language Space (Foster Court room 101)
This workshop is free of charge but places are limited and booking is essential. Click here to reserve a place through Eventbrite.
